Resort Review: Kuting Reef, Maasin Leyte
Leyte is a humble town and in its standards, Kuting Reef would be a little expensive but for the locals, "expensive" means spending P3,000 for a room that's good for four. For our overnight stay, we spent P1,500 per pax for accommodation and three (yes, three) sumptuous buffets. The rooms are dainty and very neat. We stayed in one of the casitas that came with one king size bed (good for three) and a huge sofa bed. We enjoyed our mini balcony where we spent lovely afternoons drinking our tea while enjoying a view of the coconut trees, the setting of the golden sun, and the sound of the rippling waves.
Welcome to Kuting Reef!
You can rent this speed boat for island hopping.
Don't miss Limasawa island, where the first Christian Mass was held in the Philippines.
What giant kings, and queens, and bishops they have!
We enjoyed spending down times playing this chess set.
This lovely infinity pool where we spent most our time.
We drank wine by the pool and enjoyed conversations under the full moon.
Our king-sized bed. We didn't have to use the sofa bed. This bed alone was big enough for the three of us.
Our casita!
