A Review: Amorita Resort, Bohol
A van picked us up upon arrival at the Tagbilaran airport. The staff, both very friendly, offered us bottled water and carried our backpacks. They asked us if there's anything that we want to buy in Tagbilaran before heading to Panglao. There wasn't anything we needed except for some R&R so we asked the driver to head straight to the resort.
Amorita, nestled right in the heart of Panglao, sits on top of a "hill" giving you a sprawling view of the island. We had a taste of excellent customer service the moment we arrived. We were ushered into our first room (we had two rooms throughout our stay), the Deluxe Garden Room. Days before our vacation, I called up the resort and told them that it was the birthday of one of my companions. When went inside the room, we saw a birthday greeting on one of the beds. It looked a bit honeymoonish but then again we found it thoughtful.

At sundown, we went to the pool. The pool is right beside Saffron restaurant. Food is great at Saffron but the pool is just as inviting! It foregrounds the wide stretch of beach in Panglao dotted by bangkas that seem like white paper boats from afar. Some resort pools give off an intimidating vibe but this one in Amorita was cozy. The pool beds were pleading me to grab a book and just lounge there all day. When we got back to our room, there was a plate of sweets waiting for us.
We spent the second day just the same except that we woke up early to be ahead of everyone at the buffet and to catch the sunrise. (More for the buffet.) Food was good! After breakfast, we went down to the beach and burned ourselves.

We didn't bother going to other places in Bohol. Ha! We just stayed inside the resort. Oh what nice resorts and excellent resort service can do.
